1 EnquiryandOfferInthewholeprocessofinternationaltrade,thefirststepisalmostalwaysenquiry.Thisisnormallydonebythebuyer.Ifthebuyerdoesnotletthesellerknowthathehasaninterestinthelattersproducts,thelatterwouldnotknowaboutit.Oncethesellerknowsthepotentialbuyerhasaninterestinhisproducts,hewouldoftenvolunteertoprovideanoffertothebuyer.However,moreoften,itisthebuyerwhorequestsanofferfromtheseller.
Anofferisalsocalledaquotation.Normally,itcontainstheinformationabouttheproductsofficialname,whichisoftencalleddenomination.Italsocontainstheunitprice,tradeterm,whichisalsocalledIncoterm,deliverytime,paymentmethod,auxiliaries,etc.
