在导入部分，通过guessing和brainstorming两个任务，引导学生认识本课时所要学的内容，激发学生在学习课文之前对于英国的一些认识和理解。

读前部分设置了一个问题，英国的全称，以及为什么英国是一个国家，但是在英国的全名中却有两个名字，通过这个问题，让学生带着疑问去阅读，通过阅读寻找答案。
