TextADiscoveryinaThunderstorm4PassageManyyearsago,Iwasonabicycletripthroughsomeexceedinglypicturesquecountryside.Suddenly,darkcloudspiledupoverheadandrainbegantofall,butstrangetorelate,severalhundredyardsaheadofmethesunshonebrilliantly.Pedaling,however,asrapidlyasIcould,Ifounditimpossibletogetintotheclear.ThecloudswiththeirrainkeptadvancingfasterthanIcouldraceforward.Icontinuedthisunequalcontestforanexhaustinghalfhour,beforerealizingthatIcouldnotwinmywaytothebrightareaaheadofme.1
