Themorningsunshonebrightlyaswearrivedatthepark.Colorfulballoonsdancedinthebreeze,andcheerfulmusicfilledtheair.First,werushedtothe“SpinningTeacups.”Theteacupsspunfasterandfaster,andeveryone’slaughtermixedwithscreams.IheldmybestfriendLily’shandtightly,feelingdizzybutgrinningfromeartoear.
Next,welinedupfortherollercoaster.Myheartracedasthecoasterslowlyclimbedupthetrack.Suddenly,itplungeddownatfullspeed!Windwhippedthroughmyhair,andIsqueezedmyeyesshut,shoutingwithjoy.Aftergettingoff,mylegswobbledabit,butIstillwantedtorideagain!
Atnoon,wegatheredforapicniconthegrass.Wesharedsandwiches,fruit,andsweetcupcakes.MyclassmateTomevenbroughthomemadecookies,whichtastedamazing.Underthebigoaktree,weplayedgameslike“BlindMan’sBluff”and“MusicalChairs.”WhenIwonaroundof“MusicalChairs,”myfriendscheeredforme,andIfeltsoproud.
Intheafternoon,wevisitedthepark’saquarium.Sharksglidedgracefullythroughtheclearwater,andcolorfultropicalfishswamingroups.Ipressedmyfaceagainsttheglass,watchingtinyseaturtlespaddlewiththeirflippers.Thejellyfishexhibitwasmyfavorite—theirsoft,glowingbodieslookedlikefloatinglanterns.
Thehighlightofthedaywastheparade.Costumedcharacterswavedatusfromcolorfulfloats.MickeyMouseblewkisses,andsuperheroesflexedtheirmuscles.Whenaclowntossedmeasmallbouquetofartificialflowers,Ifeltlikealittleprincess.
Asthesunbegantoset,wesatonabench,tiredbuthappy.Myshoesweredusty,andmycheekshurtfromsmilingsomuch.Onthebusridehome,everyonetalkedabouttheirfavoriteparts.Ithoughttomyself,“ThisChildren’sDayisamemoryI’llcherish
