Aftermanagingtogetallthematerialsprepared,hewenttovisitanexperttoaskforadviceaboutwhereheshoulddigone.Undertheguidance,hestartedtheprojectattheedgeofthelandwithgreatexpectation.Heworkedveryhardtodigdayandnight.Severaldayspassed,andtherewasnowatercomingout,buthehadconfidenceandfurtherdugthewellevenwithouthislunchordinner.Threedayslater,hebecamediscouragedasnothingchangedthoughhedugdeeperanddeeper.Hishardworkwasnotrewarded.Thewholefamilyboostedhisconfidenceandadvisedhimnottolosehope.Hedidn’twanttodisappointanyone,especiallyhimself,andbeganhisprojectagain.Anothertwodayswentby,andtherewasnotasingledropofwatercomingfromthewell.Hewascompletelytired,lostpatienceandwenthomethinkingthateverythingwasawasteoftime.Althoughhisfamilystillbelievedtheywereabletofindwaterthere,theresultmadethemacceptthefailure.Incasepassers-byfellintotheholebymistake,theyputapieceofwoodwhichwasthesizeoffivefingerslongneartheunfinishedwell.Sincethen,thefamilydidn’ttalkaboutthewellanymore.
