FireAlarms

FireDrills

Afiredrillwillbeconductedinyourresidencehalleverysemester.Duringafiredrill,pleasedothefollowing:

*TakeyourroomkeyandID,closeandlockthedoortoyourroom.

*Exitimmediatelyfromthenearestemergencyexit.Donotusealift.

*Meetoutsideofyourresidencehallandwaitforfurtherinstructions.

FireExtinguishers

Fireextinguishersarelocatedoneachfloorandineachapartment.Useafireextinguisheronlyifyouhavebeentrainedtodoso.Irresponsibleuseofafireextinguishercancreateadangeroussituationforotherresidentsandcouldresultindamagetopersonalproperty.

Misuseofafireextinguisherwillresultinfines.

SmokeDetector

Asmokedetectorisontheceilinginyourroom.Somebuildingsalsohaveheatdetectorsontheceilings.Dothefollowingtoensurethesafeoperationofyoursmokedetector:

*Ifyoursmokedetectorisworkingproperly,theredlightshouldbeon.Iftheredlightisnotblinking,contactresidencehallstaffimmediately.
