1.倒装句的特征
英语句子的自然语序是主语在前，谓语在后，但为了强调句中的某一部分可以把原来的语序重新调整。通常的方法是将要强调的部分放在主语之前，这就叫倒装结构。将主语和谓语完全颠倒过来叫完全倒装；只把助动词、系动词或情态动词置于主语之前的叫部分倒装。
例：Herearemyrepliestoyourquestions.
IncomesMr.Smith.
Notonlyisheafirst-classplayer,butheisgoodatchess.
Hardlyhadhearrivedatthestationwhenthetrainbegantoleave.
2.完全倒装
条件
例句
表示地点、方位或时间的副词或介词短语，如：
here,there,then,up,down,in,away,off,out,intheroom,onthewall等置于句首，且主语是名词时。
Southoftheriverliesasmallfactory.
Outrushedthechildren.

3.部分倒装
条件
例句
Only修饰副词、介词短语或从句作状语，且放在句首时

表否定意义的副词never,nor,not,hardly,little,seldom,scarcely,rarely及表否定意义的介词短语atnotime,under/innocircumstances,innocase,bynomeans,onnocondition等置于句首时

notuntil作状语或引导状语从句置于句首时，句子/主句需部分倒装，意为：直到……才……

高考书面表达中的倒装句
【句式一】Notonly+助动词/情态动词/系动词+主语+谓语+其他，but+主语+also+谓语+其他：“不仅……而且……”
该句型中Notonly…位于句首时，前一分句句子采用部分倒装语序（前倒后不倒）。
