(1) wouldrather没有人称和数的变化，wouldratherdosth.的否定形式为wouldrathernotdosth.。
(2)在“ rather+形容词+名词”的结构中，若有不定冠词，则不定冠词置于rather前后都可以。如：
aratherbigdog/ratherabigdog一只相当大的狗
(3)wouldrather(that)…句型中，从句常用虚拟语气，与现在或将来的事实相反，从句用一般过去时；与过去的事实相反，从句用过去完成时。
