一、教学目标通过本课时的学习，学生能够：1.运用略读、细读、梳理时间线等阅读活动，理解语篇，了解徐霞客的生平、成就；2.根据老师所呈现的思维导图，介绍中国伟大的旅行家——徐霞客；3.通过小组讨论，评价徐霞客的经历和成就，从而进一步理解旅行家的探索精神。

二、学情分析在语言知识方面，学生之前就对关于旅行话题的词汇有了一定的掌握，比如fantasticplaces,seasandmountains,findout,setout,view等词。在语言运用方面，“旅行”、“探索”和“地理发现”等相关词汇的学习对于学生来说有一定的难度。最后使用文中的核心词汇来复述徐霞客的生平，对于基础较薄弱的学生来说比较困难。在本单元话题方面，本单元的核心问题是“旅行的意义是什么”，本节课首先呈现了一篇关于徐霞客的传记，内容主要介绍中国历史上最伟大的旅行家徐霞客的生平和成就，部分学生对徐霞客有一定的了解，在这个过程中需要老师引导学生提取关键信息，深入理解旅行家的的探索精神。
