Goodmorning/afternoon/evening,everyone.ItisagreathonortostandbeforeyoutodayandsharewithyousomethoughtsandexperiencesthathaveshapedmyjourneyatPekingUniversity.Iamnotjustheretotalkabouttheacademicexcellenceofthisuniversity,butalsotocelebratethevibrantspiritandthediversetalentsthatmakeuswhoweare.So,letmeintroducemyselffirst.
Mynameis[YourName],andIamasenioratPekingUniversity,majoringin[YourMajor].Iamoftendescribedasthemosthandsomeorthemostcharmingguyoncampus,buttoday,IwanttogobeyondthesuperficialandsharewithyoutheessenceofwhatitmeanstobeaPekingUniversitystudent,andmoreimportantly,aresponsiblememberofsociety.
Firstandforemost,IwanttotalkaboutthecultureofexcellencethatpermeatestheveryfabricofPekingUniversity.Thisuniversityhasalong-standingtraditionoffosteringintellectualcuriosityandacademicrigor.FromthemomentIsteppedontothiscampus,Iwassurroundedbyacommunityofbrilliantminds,eachstrivingtopushtheboundariesofknowledgeanddiscovery.
OneofthemostmemorableexperiencesformewasduringmyfreshmanyearwhenIparticipatedintheNationalCollegeStudentInnovationandEntrepreneurshipCompetition.Ourteam,consistingofstudentsfromvariousdisciplines,workedtirelesslytodevelopasustainablesolutiontoapressingenvironmentalissue.Thejourneywasfilledwithchallenges,setbacks,andmomentsofdoubt,butitwasalsooneofthemostrewardingexperiencesofmylife.Welearnedtocollaborate,tothinkcritically,andtonevergiveupinthefaceofadversity.ThisspiritofexcellenceiswhatdefinesusasPekingUniversitystudents.
