SUNKeyboardCountryCodeSpecification

Description:Thisdocumentdescribeshowtochangethedefaultcountrycodeonyourkeyboard

forallSUNandUSBCIMs.WhenauserconnectsRaritanCIMsoftheSUNorUSBtypeinvolving

SUNorSUNUSBplatforms,thecountrycodeshouldbechangedtoconformtoyourkeyboardtype.

Proceduresareasfollows:

1)ConnecttheRaritanSUN/USBCIMtoaSUNorSUN-USBserver.

2)PowerontheSUNsystem,andopenatextEditor.

3)Presstheappropriatehot-key(listedbelow)toenablethesettingmode.Inthemeantime,the

LEDonthekeyboardwillcontinueblinking,andthenthetexteditorwillshowyouwhatthe

currentcountrycodeissetto.

?IfyouareusingaP2CIM-USBG2,P2CIM-AUSB,P2ZCIM-SUNorP2ZCIM-USB,the

hot-keyshouldbeL-Ctrl+NumLock.

?IfyouareusingaSUNorUSB-typeCIM(exceptfortheabove),thehot-keyshouldbe

L-Ctrl+KeypadDel.

4)Whenthecurrentcountrycodedisplayisprovided,youcannowenteranewcountrycode.To

changethecountrycode,youwillneedtokeyintwodigitsforthenewcountryIDcode(Seethe

appropriateCountryIDtablebelow)

5)PressEnterkey.Itwillshowthenewsettingofthecountrycode.

6)PressESCkeytoexittheeditmode.

7)ReboottheSUNsystem.Thesystemwillre-identifywhatlanguagethekeyboardhasbeenset

to.
