(IoT)devicestoincorporateminimumsecurityfeaturesforeverydevice,makingCaliforniathefirststatewithsuchalaw.
StartingJanuary1,2020,thebill,SB-327,requiresanymanufacturerofadevicethatconnects“directlyorindirectly”to
theinternettobemoreresponsibleforensuringprivacyandsecurityforCaliforniaresidentsbyequippingdeviceswith
“reasonable”securityfeaturesthataredesignedtopreventunauthorizedaccess,modification,orinformationdisclosure.
TocomplywithSB-327,RaritanPX3andPX4PDUsandtheirPDUfirmwarehavebeenupdatedtoensuresecureaccess
(physicalorbysecurenetworkprotocols)byforcingalluserstochangethedefaultadministratorpassworduponfirstlogin.
Thenewpasswordmustmeet
