OntheafternoonofNovember14,BeijingTime,theShenzhou-20taikonaut（中国航天员）crew—ChenDong,ChenZhongrui,andWangJie—successfullylandedattheDongfengLandingSiteaboardtheShenzhou-21spaceship,markingasafeendtotheir204-dayorbitalmission.Theirreturn,originallyscheduledforNovember5,wasdelayedbyninedaysduetoaminorcrackinShenzhou-20’sporthole（舷窗）causedbyspacedebris（碎片）impact.
Thisunprecedented（史无前例的）emergencytriggeredChina’swell-designedonemainandonebackupspacerescueplan.Insteadofriskingareturnonthedamagedspacecraft,thecrewtransferredtoShenzhou-21.ThismarksthefirsttimeinChina’smannedspacehistorythatanotheroperationalspaceshiphascarriedadifferenttaikonautcrewbacktoEarth.Whilewaitingfortherescheduledreturn,thetriocontinuedscientificexperimentswiththeShenzhou-21crew,addingvaluabledatatotheirresearch.
Duringtheirrecord-breakingorbitalstay,theShenzhou-20teamcompletedfourextravehicular（舱外的）activities,sevencargotransfertasks,andaseriesofcutting-edgeexperimentsinspacelifesciencesandmaterialsscience.Theirachievements,includingheatingtungstenalloy（钨合金）to3100°C,providedcrucialdataforrelatedfields.
ThesmoothemergencyreturnfullydemonstratedthereliabilityofChina’smannedspaceengineeringsystem.Fromtherapidactivationofthecontingency（应急）plantotheprecisecoordination（协同）ofthegroundteamandthespacecraft’sintelligentfaultresponse,everylinkshowcasedChina’sadvancingspacecapabilities.Asthetaikonautswereconfirmedingoodhealthafterlanding,thismissionprovedthatChina’sspaceprogramhassuccessfullypassedthetest,deliveringanexcellentanswertothenation’sexpectations.

北京时间11月14日下午，神舟二十号航天员乘组——陈冬、陈中瑞、王杰搭乘神舟二十一号飞船在东风着陆场成功着陆，标志着他们为期204天的在轨任务安全落幕。该乘组原定11月5日返回，因神舟二十号返回舱舷窗遭空间碎片撞击出现细微裂纹，返回时间推迟九天。
