Thankyouforjoiningustoday.Itisagreathonortostandbeforeyouandsharemythoughtsonasubjectthathasbeenthedrivingforceofmylife:innovation.Ihavealwaysbelievedthatinnovationisthecoreofhumanprogress,anditiswhathasallowedustoachievetheincredibleadvancementsweseearoundustoday.
Letmetakeyoubacktoamomentthatchangedmylife.Itwas1976,andIwassittinginmyparentsgarage,surroundedbyagroupoffriends,lookingatapieceofcircuitboard.ItwasthebirthofApple,acompanythatwouldgoontorevolutionizethewaywelive,work,andcommunicate.Fromthatmomenton,Ihavebeenpassionateaboutinnovation,andIwanttosharewithyouwhyitissoimportant.
Innovationisnotjustaboutcreatingnewproductsorservices.Itisaboutcreatingsomethingthathasneverbeenseenbefore,somethingthatchangestheworld.Itisaboutpushingtheboundariesofwhatispossibleandchallengingthestatusquo.Innovationistheenginethatdrivesprogress,anditiswhatseparatessuccessfulcompaniesfromthosethatfail.
Letmegiveyouanexample.WhenwestartedApple,wewerenotjustcreatingcomputers.Wewerecreatinganewwayofthinkingabouttechnology.Webelievedthatcomputersshouldbesimple,intuitive,andaccessibletoeveryone.Thiswasaradicalideaatthetime,butitwasanideathatwewerepassionateabout.Andbecauseofourpassion,wewereabletocreateproductsthatchangedtheworld.
Now,letstalkaboutthepowerofinnovation.Innovationhasthepowertotransformindustries,tocreatejobs,andtoimprovelives.Itisthekeytoeconomicgrowthandthefoundationofathrivingsociety.Butinnovationisnoteasy.Itrequiresavision,acommitmenttoexcellence,andthecouragetotakerisks.
Oneofthegreatestchallengesofinnovationisthatitoftenrequiresustostepoutsideofourcomfortzones.Itrequiresustoquestioneverythingweknowand
