ThisStandarddescribeselectroplatedcoatingsofzincplatingandchromatefilmshereinafterreferredto

asplatingthatareappliedtoironandsteelforcorrosionprotectionandappearance.

Remarks:1.ThisStandardappliestothesignificantsurfacethatisdefinedasthesurfaceforwhichthe

platingismostimportant.Corrosionprotectivequalities,forpartsotherthanthesignificant

surface,shallbedeterminedbyagreementbetweenthepartiesconcerned.

2.DEFINITIONOFTERMS

MajortermsusedinthisStandardshallbedefinedasfollows:
